Sam Usher
Sam Usher is an award-winning illustrator and writer whose long-running series about a boy and his grandfather has sold half a million copies around the world.
Shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Prize and the Red House Book Award and longlisted for the Greenaway Medal, Sam has illustrated books by three Children’s Laureates.
Sam works with pen & ink and gouache from his studio in Somerset. Also a talented pianist, when he’s not holding a pen and wobbling at paper you’ll find him perfecting a fiendishly difficult piece of Chopin.
