John Broadley

John Broadley rose to notoriety as a producer of limited-edition hand-made books and comics before embarking on a decade-long partnership with the Soho restaurant Quo Vadis which has seen him adorn the menus and interior of the famous London establishment.

John’s work appears in books and magazines, including The Spectator, The New Yorker, Noble Rot and the New York Review of Books. John has worked with retailers including Fortnum & Mason, The Fine Cheese Company, Liberty London, and Berry Bros & Rudd.

His first children’s book, While You’re Sleeping, written by Mick Jackson, was a New York Times Children’s Book of the Year winner, a finalist in the Klaus Flugge Prize and longlisted for the Carnegie Prize for Illustration. The follow up, We’re Going Places was one of The Observer’s Picture Books of the Year. Cooking Simply and Well for One or Many, written by Jeremy Lee and illustrated by John was shortlisted for the Waterstones Book of the Year.
