Jane Foster
Jane is an illustrator and author who lives with her partner, daughter and two cats in a quirky 60s house in Devon. She holds a music degree from the Royal Northern College of Music and, after being a Music teacher in Brighton for 15 years, she became an illustrator and printmaker in her late 30s.
Jane loves working with fine line black pens on paper and takes inspiration from vintage children’s book illustrations, Mid Century Modern design, Scandinavian ceramics and the work of Dick Bruna.
Jane has recently started writing poetry and is keen to explore topics such as Neurodiversity and Diversity in her work. She wants children to see themselves in the joyful characters she creates.
